What a perfomance

So glad we didn't miss the concert last night at the Auditorium. The programme looked promising; the Corialan Overture by Beethoven followed by Haydn's Concert for Trumpet and Orchestra and finally the 5th Symphony by Beethoven. By way a of bonus they also played the jazz classic, Misty by Erroll Garner.

The music was crisp, passionate and note perfect. Superb performances and lots of well deserved hugging between the conductor, the leader of the orchestra and the trumpet soloist.

Something for our band to take note of - the musicians in the Elche Orchestra all sat upright on the edge of their seats. Some of the people who play in the Bigastro band slouch on their seats. It may or may not affect their performance, I can't say.  I can say though that it doesn't look tidy and professional.

You can see my album of photos located in the left hand sidebar.
