All the usual advice, keep out of the sun as much as you can, wear light clothing, drink plenty and eat small light snacks. If you really must go outside, then slap on plenty of sun cream and wear a hat to protect your head.
It is perhaps not the best day to start building that extension or reforming your garden. On the plus side though, the washing will be dry almost the moment you hang it out.
