An interesting folly

 
The castle at San Miguel de la Salinas was an old yeso or plaster factory and warehouse. It was bought by Don Antonio Conesa and transformed into a museum of his artefacts. Nothing in the building though is a replica, all the pieces are genuine treasures from around the region.

Inevitably, because Conesa wanted to create an Alhambra in San Miguel, a lot of the decoration is Moorish as you can see in these photos I took yestreday on a brief visit.
