This satellite picture from today’s papers in Britain shows the country covered in a blanket of snow and ice and weathermen predict that it could stay that way for another week.
Petrol stations are running out of fuel, shops are running out of stocks, cash machines are running out of money, ships bringing toys for Christmas can’t get into port and stocks of salt are running low. There are problems on the roads, on the trains and at the airports.
Most bizarre of all though, amidst all this chaos, the police are being inundated with phone calls from people complaining of children throwing snowballs.
