An object lesson

Pamela has now visited the oncologist at the Vega Baja hospital as part of her ongoing checks.

In total we have made four visits to the Vega Baja hospital in relation to this routine check-up. The first was to arrange an appointment for a mammogram – that was quick. Then we spent nearly three hours waiting for her turn to have a mammogram and chest x-ray. The following day we waited half an hour for them to take a blood analysis sample. Yesterday we had a two hour wait for the appointment with the oncologist.

The result, I am pleased to say, is that all is well.

Pamela will return to the hospital in six months for a further consultation at which time we will be prepared. For any appointment in the future we’ll take a bottle of water, a bag of sweets and a thick book. If we are lucky, we won’t need them but at least we will be prepared for the worst.
