Orihuela market

Today we visited Orihuela market at its new venue.

First off car parking. Although the car park is large, by the time we got there it was full so we had to find a place on one of the side roads nearby.

As you can see the first part of the market occupies the main road and so there is plenty of space between the stalls either side – good for shoppers but it does mean you can walk down the middle and avoid looking at what is on offer.

The benefit of wide spaces comes when the ladies bring their shopping trolleys!

There were plenty of bargains to be had including the goods on this stall that were all priced at 50c.

You would have to rummage around to find what you wanted though.

I didn’t see a lot of places to get a drink or a bite to eat apart from this man selling ice cream.

There were plenty of stalls of interest to young girls but perhaps less for we men.

All in all, we preferred the market at its original venue. At least there, when you had finished looking round, you could go into the city for a bite to eat, a drink and a browse round the shops.
