New Year's Eve and it was time to make an effort.
The Brits from our urbanisation certainly did that when they joined the Spanish group who were eating at La Pedrera on Nochevieja 2008.
Of course we Brits cheat and celebrate twice; once for the Spanish New Year and an hour later for New Year in Britain.
I think the Spanish diners were impressed with our rendition of "Auld Lang Syne".
