Yesterday the Hiperber chain inaugurated a new supermarket located in Calle Generalitat Valenciana here in Bigastro.
Hiperber opened its first supermarket in Elche 30 years ago. Since then they have expanded and opened a further 33. Hiperber's mission is to offer their services to as many people as possible by opening supermarkets in areas with populations between 6 and 10,000.
When we first came to Bigastro we were told that Mercadona had plans to build a supermarket at the bottom of our estate. That would not have made commercial sense. A Hiperber to rival Masymas is nearer the mark.
