Some of you may remember the title track of Cliff Richard's film. Cliff and the Shadows travelled by London bus - the people yesterday chose a faster way to get to the sun.
Yesterday was the busiest day of the year for El Altet airport in Alicante. More than 50,000 people on 297 flights passed through Terminal 1 during the course of the day which started at 7am. Many of the passengers arriving were British - all looking forward to a few weeks in the Spanish sun.
The taxi drivers were still complaining however that there wasn't enough trade for them.
