The decision is understood to have been taken by the head of the Army, General Sir Richard Dannatt, in the light of the threats to the prince and his men.
Prince Harry is “very disappointed” about the decision but will not quit the army, Clarence House said today.
Disappointment would not be my reaction - more like relief.
