Manchester - more than a football club.

Whilst we stayed at Laura's we went into the city centre. Manchester has changed dramatically since the bombing ripped the heart out of it. It has to be one of the best shopping experiences in the North of England. The Arndale centre on its own provided us with a wealth of shopping. From the Arndale centre though we went into Selfridges, Marks and Spencer and Harvey Nics. We then walked round the corner to the trendy boutiques which include designer labels such as Armani, Chanel, Luis Vuitton etc.

We were pleased to see that the old buildings have been beautifully preserved and allowed to nestle comfortably with the new. If it hadn't been snowing we could even have viewed all this from the air by paying £5 to go on the Manchester Wheel.

The only thing we needed was the steely resolve to keep the credit cards in our pockets!

Many apologies for the quality of the photos but I only had my camera phone with me.
